Where to Access Ask Zeplyn

Ask Zeplyn is available in three locations within the Zeplyn platform, depending on the scope of your question.

1. Global Ask Zeplyn (Firm-Wide)

Use this when you want to search across your entire client base or firm data.

Where to find it:

  • Left navigation menu

  • Click Ask Zeplyn

Best for:

  • Firm-wide questions

  • Cross-client insights

  • Broad research queries

Example use cases:

  • “Which clients discussed Roth conversions recently?”

  • “Show me clients with tax concerns.”

  • "Identify clients who might be good candidates for annuity discussions."

  • “Draft a quarterly market update email for all my clients I did not meet with this quarter.”

2. Client-Level Ask Zeplyn

Use this when you want insights about one specific client.

Where to find it:

  1. Go to Clients

  2. Open a client record

  3. Locate Ask Zeplyn on the client page

  4. Start your chat

Best for:

  • Client-specific history / Deep client research

  • Relationship context

  • Personalized drafting of emails or meeting prep

Example use cases:

  • “Summarize all meetings with this client this year and identify which annual review topics were covered.”

  • “What planning topics has this client asked about?”

  • “Draft a follow-up email for this client along with an agenda to cover the above topics.”

3. Meeting-Level Ask Zeplyn

Use this when you want insights about a specific meeting.

Where to find it:

  1. Open a meeting record

  2. Locate Ask Zeplyn within the meeting view

  3. Ask your question

Best for:

  • Meeting deep dive

  • Action item review

  • Post-meeting follow-ups

Example use cases:

  • “Expand on the Roth IRA discussion in this meeting.”

  • “What were the key tasks for me that are still open?”

  • “Draft a follow-up email based on this meeting and most recent emails since the meeting.”

Uploading Documents for Analysis

Ask Zeplyn can analyze documents you attach and incorporate them into its response.

To upload a document:

  1. Click the + (plus) icon in the chat box

  2. Select your file

  3. Click Open

  4. Ask your question about the document

Example use cases:

  • “Summarize this tax return.”

  • “What risks are identified in this plan?”

     

  • "Read the uploaded quarterly statement for Aaron Price household. Identify meaningful tax impact based on the current portfolio allocation."
